What are the different marketing management philosophies?

Post by Jahangir487 »

There are several different ways of approaching marketing management, which are called marketing management orientations or concepts.

The 5 marketing management orientations to know are:

Product concept: This is the simplest marketing orientation, where the strategy begins with the product. The overall sales and marketing strategy focuses on creating and improving the product first and then finding customers. While it may seem logical at first glance to focus on product quality, this can come at the expense of other important marketing components.

Production concept: The production concept focuses business strategy rcs data philippines on production and convenience. The goal is to make products available to target consumers more easily and at a lower cost through optimizations in production and distribution. This can be effective in markets or sectors with low competition, if you are first to market or most widely available. It can become a long-term advantage in the former case, but not always.
Sales concept: This marketing management approach assumes that consumers aren't specifically looking for or wanting the product and must be sold frequently and actively to compensate. This is often seen in industries like insurance, where, by the time the consumer needs the product, they wish they already had it. However, this focus on hard sales doesn't work in many situations.

Marketing concept: The marketing orientation focuses on maximizing the value delivered to the customer and their overall satisfaction with the company. Unlike previous orientations, this one is less focused on the company itself and more on the needs of the consumer. Instead of creating a product and then finding customers, development begins with customer needs, and products are created and marketed to meet those needs.
